This Car's Options: Grand Prix White No Mods No paintwork Stock brakes, shocks, swaybars, intake, exhaust, etc. Never tracked One of 701 produced One owner, 36, 835 miles Limited slip differential, air conditioning, sunroof Best in Class at 2019 Radnor Hunt Concours . Limited to 701 units, the RS America was based on the Carrera 2, using the same engine and gearbox but shed of excess weight. This included flat door panels with pull straps, a carpeted luggage shelf replacing the rear seats, the removal of power steering, cruise control, powered side mirrors, air conditioning, sunroof and radio, though the latter three were available as options along with a limited slip differential. The result was a weight savings of 77 lbs over a stock Carrera 2, even with the Turbo’s brakes and sport seats installed as standard. The example available for sale is a 1993 model finished in Grand Prix White, one of the RS America’s three standard color options. The excellent condition owes to its 36k one-owner, off-track miles and full Colgan bras for protection. Because of this, our RS America presents virtually no chipping or road rash. While the RS America was hailed for its pure focus and limited frills, our ‘93 was optioned with the limited slip differential (220), air conditioning (573) and sunroof (650), but not radio. The original owner only installed Andial 964 RS Sport springs for a more aggressive ride height, but the OEM M030 springs are included with the receipt from Andial, along with all service records, keys, sales literature and the original window sticker and Bill of Sale from Reeves Imports in Tampa, Florida. The respect and care that this RS America has been spoiled with is immediately evident, and earned Best in Class for Special Interest Porsche at the 2019 Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance. In our experience selling well more than 50 examples of the RS America, few have stood the test of time to quite this level. All books, records, Bill of sale, etc.
